Students from our program want to work with your company to create job descriptions for new and existing positions. Our students are equally capable of working on a specific aspect of the HR process (anything from job descriptions to pay considerations) or end-to-end postings. Our students are trained in a variety of techniques and activities utilized in acquiring, developing and maintaining a highly effective workforce. Concretely, they have learned about all aspects of hiring, for details see the next section. Students are able to incorporate and operate effectively in light of various environmental challenges such as government policies, demographic trends, and organizational trends.
IT Fieldwork (Practicum) W24 - 200 hours

Each year, students in the 2nd (final) year of their program are required to complete at least 200 hours of IT-related fieldwork in a mentored environment. The practicum course opens in January, but students looking for full-time placement generally expect to start in late April or early May. The qualifying time for the course must be completed before the middle of June, but this would not preclude any continuing employment by you. The students will have completed a variety of web, database, programming, network, server, user interface, and systems design courses and practical projects. They have the fundamentals and some skills to apply, and they have the capacity and willingness to learn your business and processes. While this can be an unpaid practicum, we would encourage employers to pay students at your companies entry level wage. Start date for this opportunity: January 2024 (up to 60 students seeking placement) We are looking for companies with a background in IT or someone with an IT-related qualification to mentor our learner candidates throughout the project.

Student will work on design - related projects of your choosing over the practicum period. Our 2 year Diploma is a practical and hands-on program, structured around the professional standards of the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA). Working in small classes with one-to-one instructor support, students will master various software used throughout interior design practice. Students work on projects that simulate real-world design problems and gain experience in commercial and residential interior design. Students are required to complete 120 hours of unpaid practicum experience between Jan 12th - May 30th , 2022.

But in the evolving world of media and communications, one thing is certain: no matter how it is delivered, content is key. The importance of social media has grown and communications jobs have blossomed. What we are finding now is journalism, corporate communications, photography and graphic production are crossing over more than ever before. Thus, we have developed the next evolution of the program to recognize industry needs. In this project, a student-writer will create an unbiased well-researched news story and/or an infographic for your organization, focused on online or print media.
