Strategic Marketing B2C
Run Little Monkey is a scrappy startup looking to work with students on building a strategic marketing plan to grow our brand and reach. The primary focus for the student will be: (please include a few examples of marketing projects you would like the student(s) to execute during the placement, as exemplified below.) Increasing current revenue/ market share. Identifying new market segments and opportunities. Identify strategies for and create key digital messaging in order to improving customer acquisition/retention Improving online communications (along with recommendations related to the product or service, packaging etc.) Develop and implement a PR strategy to increase media coverage; create collateral, including press releases, user testimonials, case studies, and customer stories. Our goal at the end of this experience is: (please indicate the goal for this placement, or deliverable you expect the student(s) to complete, as exemplified below) A marketing plan that can be executed in coming months to increase brand presence and reach and ultimately drive sales through our online store, including a better understanding of our current and potential target markets, potential new products, and positioning of our current products and pricing. Other duties the student may complete could include : (indicate other duties as exemplified below) Content development, including social posts, blog posts, website copy, videos. We will plan to communicate with our virtual intern(s) using these communication tools: Primarily email but also Zoom or other digital platforms that allow communication and sharing of ideas. Digital Content Creation
We would like students to help us with creating content that is aligned with our vision, mission, and sector. We will ensure the student has a clear understanding of what these elements are for our organization. Run Little Monkey creates and designs women's activewear. RLM’s gear is designed by a woman to fit the bodies of real women with sizing that is more generous than standard athletic wear and fits women in all the right places. The fabric is a luxuriously soft blend of bamboo, cotton and elastane which is naturally anti-bacterial so doesn’t get stinky like most polyester technical wear. We’re also proudly Canadian, work with Canadian artists and manufacturers when we can. Our brand and our gear are all about having fun out there and building confidence and support for women who are or want to be active. We are looking to create a series of articles for our website focusing on women's runnning, health and fitness. To accomplish this, we expect the student(s) will: Write a series of blog articles on assigned topics and social media posts to promote them Source or create graphics to go with blog posts. Potentially create a social media video to promote our company The blog articles would be written in a journalistic style and include interviews and background research. Ultimately, you will be working on content creation for our Run Little Monkey that we can use as go-to marketing tools.
Build social media advertising campaign
We want to build and optimize 3-4 digital advertising campaigns on social media over a 60-day period. This project will include: Learn and understand how to optimize the Facebook ad algorithim Creating, deploying, and testing 3-4 ad sets each on Facebook/Instagram (in consulation with Run Little Monkey) Identifying through analytics what works and "training" the algorithims to optimize ROAS. Report back with summary outlining the best practices and way forward to replicate succcess. We will provide: sales and brand collateral, ad copy, budget, access to accounts and analytics as well as consultation during the creation of the ad campaigns Objective Create ad sets that can be reused and further refined with new content to build website traffic and conversions ton increase sales.
