Project Summary To develop social media content to build followers, engages supporters and helps us achieve organizational growth goals. Project Scope Create social media around the 4 pillars of our mission - Awareness, Education, Research and Support as well as increase donations. Project Objectives Analyze the presence of the organization on various social media (Facebook @CCHAforlife; Twitter @cchaforlife; Instagram @cchaforlife ) Help define our target audience and what type of content best performs/ on which platform Create a social media strategy for each SM channel that includes content calendar (cause/awareness days) to boost engagement, increase followers and increase donations Build a bank of evergreen social media content Determine weekly and monthly goals; what is the ideal number of posts per day/week Goal: Increase engagement, value added content and increase donations through social media campaigns and content.

Level UP: Non-profit fundraising toolkit development

Number of individual students required: 1 We would like students to help us with creating content that is aligned with our mission, vision and the charitable sector. We will ensure the student has a clear understanding of what these elements are for our organization. Objective: Research non-profit fundraising best practices and create a toolkit for 3rd party fundraising. The Toolkit needs to include branded marketing materials (such as posters, donation/pledge forms, brochures/flyers, press release etc) for various fundraising events (examples - lemonade stand, car wash, book sale, bake sale, BBQ etc), as well as instructional step by step guide of how to set up and deliver a fundraising event. All materials to be created and branded for our organization. Examples of similar toolkits include Plan Canada fundraising toolkit https://plancanada.ca/fundraise-resources; Because I am a Girl Lemonade stand toolkit https://plancanada.ca/pink-lemonaid; Salvation Army https://thriftstore.ca/sites/default/files/2019-05/donation%20kit-final.pdf; and Habitat for Humanity https://www.habitat.org/sites/default/files/gv_fundraising_toolkit.pdf are great examples of what we are looking for. Our goal at the end of this experience is: Fully developed and ready to launch toolkit product, as well as related marketing, website and social media communications to launch. Other duties the student may complete could include : general fundraising social media content; build up donation section on website; and improve the CanadaHelps donation pages We will communicate with our virtual intern using these communication tools: (list expected channels - eg. Riipen messaging, Google Meet, phone call, email) Ultimately, you will be working on content creation for our organization, including video, social media, and other collateral that we can use as go-to marketing tools.

Public Health Education and Awareness of CHD

Project Summary Research and make recommendations around improving equity and access for people living with CHD (Congenital Heart Disease) in Canada. Project Scope Gather stakeholder input in order to determine highest priority issues. Research funding needs to support children and adults living with CHD. Project Objective Work with members and stakeholders to research and make policy recommendations for government and allied organizations aimed at promoting health equity and minimizing inequality in the CHD population. Recommendations need to consider social determinants of health that influences these issues and make recommendations to mitigate these issues. Create innovative and evidence-based digital tools and communication strategies that target multidisciplinary stakeholders May include but not limited to PSA, awareness video, clinic resources, health promotion plan, a stakeholder Other duties the student may complete could include: Social media campaign and/or marketing materials, or digital products/resources. Identification of key stakeholder groups that could be targeted, outline mechanisms to change trends and behaviour around these issues to maximize awareness and boost advocacy.
