UI/UX Designer for a Social Community App
The project goal is to collaborate with the product team to prepare, test, and gather user feedback to help iterate on the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) by doing the following: Complete the Design of Testing Environment: The intern will work closely with product team to finish designing the testing environment, ensuring that it aligns with the objectives of the user tests and provides accurate and actionable data for design improvements. Conducting Various User Tests: The intern will lead the design and execution of user tests, including A/B testing, usability testing, surveys, and one-on-one interviews. Insights Gathering: Through these user tests, the intern will gather valuable insights into user behavior, preferences, and pain points. These insights will inform design updates aimed at improving accessibility, refining user personas, enhancing brand impact, analyzing heatmaps, and optimizing user flow. Collaborating with Engineers: Collaboration with engineers will involve translating design concepts into practical testing scenarios and providing guidance on implementation to ensure the integrity and effectiveness of the testing process. Problem Solving for Students: By the end of the project, students are expected to solve the challenge of navigating and interacting within the social community app more intuitively. The outcome students should achieve includes: Improved navigation flow within the app for seamless user interaction. Enhanced community engagement features to foster a sense of belonging and interaction. Implementation of accessibility and privacy features to cater to the diverse user base, ensuring inclusivity and user data protection. These enhancements will result in a more user-centric app experience that prioritizes user satisfaction, usability, and inclusivity, ultimately creating a platform that resonates with the target audience and addresses their needs effectively. We are seeking individuals who are knowledgeable in the following areas: Figma: Essential for creating high-fidelity designs and interactive prototypes. Knowledge of translating design to code: Vital for seamless handoffs and ensuring design consistency in development. Task Management software (e.g., Trello, Jira): User Testing platforms Analytics: Key for data-driven decision-making and understanding user behavior. Whiteboard software (e.g., Figjam, Miro) Survey forms: Helpful for collecting user feedback and conducting research. Deliverables: User Testing Analysis: A summarized analysis of user testing data, focusing on key insights that can inform immediate design decisions. This could include:Top findings from A/B testing Key usability study observations Summary of survey and interview feedback
