Marketing Research Capstone - Winter 2025

The course is the students’ opportunity to execute a professional marketing or business research study in their area of specialization. Students exercise their professionalism and applied research skills to facilitate a sound business decision on a problem/opportunity in a real client business context. In this course, students apply their research design and execution skills (e.g., survey writing, focus group, interviews, desk research, etc.) using consultative, project management, and client service knowledge as they work in teams on a marketing problem. They prepare a professional research report and present findings and recommendations to a selected audience. Address client project needs by evaluating the availability of secondary research and designing required primary research Collect research data to maximize representative, timely, and comprehensive research findings Use project management techniques to execute the research process Adhere to professional and ethical guidelines to minimize harm to participants and challenges about the authorship Interpret research findings to formulate recommendations Present results and recommendations to disseminate research findings
Strategic Sales Solutions Collaboration

Seneca Polytechnic invites you to collaborate with our PSL 205 - Capstone course learners. These students are focused on professional selling, including prospecting, sales strategy, and client engagement. This experience requires students to engage in a professional consulting engagement. The project is divided into three stages: Discovery Interviews Consulting Analysis, and Presentation of Go-to-Market Solutions. This hands-on experience allows students to apply their learned skills in a real-world context, providing valuable insights and strategies to the client. We ask employers to engage in regular communication with learners, provide necessary project information, attend the final presentation, and deliver constructive feedback on project outcomes through the Riipen platform.
Global Business Development Integrated Strategy

This post-graduate program provides students with a blend of theory, hands-on practical exposure and applied research to benefit business organizations, while allowing the opportunity for students to specialize in their chosen career fields. Projects will be developed by integrating the skills acquired in the program and may involve on-site research and/or third-party industry related projects. Researching and presenting sustainable solutions to business problems are core tenets of this course. The course positions students as business consultants under the guidance of the professor. Students can take on any business-related problem.
