Radio Broadcasting students from Loyalist College are required to spend the last four weeks of their final semester (March 29 - April 23, 2021) working on real-life projects to apply their skills in a realistic and professional context in various sectors, including: radio broadcasting, audio production, podcasting, advertising and marketing, communications and non-profit.

This is an unpaid, for-credit experience. Due to COVID-19, placements will occur mostly virtually.

Students are available to start remotely before the March start date listed on this posting as well.

Expected outcomes and deliverables

Project deliverables will vary depending on the scope of the project. These will be agreed upon by the educator and partnering organization.

Students must complete 140 hours of placement by the end of April 2021.

Project Examples

Students can complete a substantial project for your organization over the placement period. We suggest providing a starting project, but as the placement goes on there may be other duties or projects the student is asked to complete as well.

Provide work that will fulfill the course learning outcomes.

Complete end of experience evaluation.

Unpaid, for-credit experience.

Be available for a quick phone call with the instructor to initiate your relationship and confirm your scope is an appropriate fit for the course.

Provide a dedicated contact who is available to answer periodic emails or phone calls over the duration of the project to address students' questions.
