Business-Administration Accounting students from Loyalist College are looking for real-life projects to apply their skills to the work world. Students are required to complete 140 hours of relevant work. Students can complete many projects that are accounting, tax, finance, and bookkeeping related.

This is an unpaid, for-credit experience. Due to COVID-19, placements will occur mostly virtually.

Students are available to start remotely before the March start date listed on this posting as well.

Expected outcomes and deliverables

Project deliverables will vary depending on the scope of the project. These will be agreed upon by the educator and partnering organization.

Students must complete 140 hours of placement by the end of April 2021.

Project Examples

Students can complete a substantial project for your organization over the placement period. We suggest providing a starting project, but as the placement goes on there may be other duties or projects the student is asked to complete as well.

Accounting, tax finance, and bookkeeping related topics include:

  • Completion of tax returns
  • Auditing
  • Project planning
  • Day-to-day data entry
  • Account reconciliations
  • Data analysis
  • Journaling of transactions
  • Budgets
Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:

Unpaid, for-credit experience.

Provide work that will fulfill the course learning outcomes.

Be available for a quick phone call with the instructor to initiate your relationship and confirm your scope is an appropriate fit for the course.

Provide a dedicated contact who is available to answer periodic emails or phone calls over the duration of the project to address students' questions.

Complete end of experience evaluation.
