e-commerce marketing
We received a provincial government grant to improve and promote our online shop. We have some budget to run ads, and would like to get help from students work on designing online marketing ads. We are launching a new online shop on Shopify in August. If time allows a marketing plan and strategy to carry into the future would also be helpful.
Podcast production
We would like to invite a group of students to curate a series of podcast. We already have a podcast platform "Sounds Japanese Canadian To Me" started in 2013 which we would like to build on to provide more stories of Japanese Canadian history and culture. Our museum is rich in resources to choose a theme the student is most interested in pursuing. Students could accomplish the following: Script each podcast episode. Depending on the student's skill set, record the episode by themselves, or coordinate the recording process. Edit the recorded audio for final publication. Write show notes and publicity. Depending on the student's skill set, design graphics, or coordinate the graphic design process with a designer.
Style guide and design templates
The challenge is to create a style guide and design templates and examples to help us develop a united brand identity across departments - events, education, exhibitions, and rentals.
