Health & Wellness Program Implementation

My clinic specializes in atopic dermatitis (AKA eczema) which is the most common skin condition in childhood. What most people don't realize, is that atopic dermatitis causes significant burdens on patient and family quality of life and treatment plans are multi-factorial including skin care routines, diet, nutrition, wound care management, family coping and so much more. We would like to collaborate with students to gain an understanding of what components should be included and the implementation strategies available. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Analyzing data from the literature regarding nutrition considerations in patients with atopic dermatitis Researching current trends in patient satisfaction and adherence Developing a realistic health and wellness program for patients with atopic dermatitis Providing metrics to justify the implementation of the program. Recommending steps to implement the program within our company. Revising and improving the proposed program based on feedback.

Exploring CAM Therapies for Severe Atopic Dermatitis in Infants & Young Children

The project is to explore the scientific and case study use of CAM therapies in young children and infants with severe AD, identify promising practices and discern issues that might contraindicate with particular patients by age or in complex medical settings.  Primary objective is to develop resources and materials for families within the practice. Resources must be accessible to families with particular focus on effective health communication in low literacy or multilingual environments.  https://www.happyskindermatology.com/

Online Training Course Design

Our company would like to create patient education videos/modules families of our medical clinic. The population will include patients and families from our pediatric dermatology clinic. Topics will include patient education for eczema, warts, molluscum and acne and other common conditions. We would like to work with students to create the digital video content and content to use for social media posts. Tasks include: Creating an innovative delivery model for patient education modules (video, presentations, handouts, etc) Researching options for our online training platform. Assessing existing online training platforms and recommending the best platform for our courses and materials.
