Project Title: Nationalism on Display - Museums as Arenas of Hong Kong's Identity Politics
Supervisor: Dr. Dylan Clark
Received a cumulative grant of $15,000 to conduct research in Hong Kong, SAR concerning the evolving landscape of museum collections since 2014, examining how they reflect broader global shifts and potentially impact local identities. We delved into the phenomenon of historical narrative transformation, focusing on the gradual replacement of Hong Kong's colonial history with narratives that highlight Chinese culture.
Used NVIVO to thematically and manually code for various themes, including yet not limited to: censorship, neutrality, heritage, marketability, 'hybridity' and cosmopolitanism/internationalism, and the role of museums (in Hong Kong, SAR). Used Podium in conjunction with manual transcription to reproduce English interviews in written form. Responsible for academic report, coding data, and documentary.

GLOBAL CHALLENGE LAB 2024: Hyperion - Photovoltaic System within a Networked Community
June 2024 - July 2024
https://www.figma.com/file/BTVTisTOwLEBJeaOIsOZt3/Schematic-Diagram-of-PV-System-in-Supermarkets-and-Networked-CommunitiesAs a participant in the Global Challenge Lab, I proposed the creation of a sustainable networked community that integrates wind farms, solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, AEM electrolysers, and fuel cells. This concept aimed to enhance energy resilience and sustainability by connecting energy producers and consumers directly, independent of traditional central energy grids.
The core of the proposal involved installing PV systems on community buildings to generate electricity from sunlight. This electricity powers AEM electrolysers, which produce green hydrogen through electrolysis. The hydrogen is then stored for use during periods when solar power is unavailable, such as at night or on cloudy days. Fuel cells convert the stored hydrogen back into electricity and heat on demand, ensuring a reliable energy supply.
The projectβs goals were to foster sustainability, improve energy flexibility, and reduce reliance on fossil fuels. By allowing communities to manage their energy needs dynamically and store excess energy, this approach supports environmental goals and promotes energy self-sufficiency.
