This project will begin on August 1st following a kick-off meeting and orientation for all student-hires. This project’s end-date is September 3rd, 2022. The Antarctic Institute of Canada (AIC) is a non-profit organization that conducts research activities, academic mentorship programs, and equity building through a variety of government-funded work-initiatives for graduate and undergraduate students. The AIC is seeking 20 (twenty) post-secondary students currently enrolled in a graphic-design program to fulfill tasks needed to complete a catalog of pre-print children’s books. Applicants should be comfortable working with Adobe Indesign, converting files to alternative formats and creating digital illustrations. Additionally, designers will fulfill additional duties to prepare books for manuscript publication. This may include design work, manuscript formatting, and editing as needed.

The AIC is seeking 10 (ten) post-secondary students with experience in graphic-design to fulfill tasks needed to complete book and audio cover designs. This project will begin January 2nd. The end-date for the project and deliverable submission deadline is January 31st. Job Expectations Applicants must be experienced in AIC book design and audiobook cover design. As such, applicants should be comfortable working with Adobe Indesign, converting files to alternative formats and creating digital illustrations. Experience with Printful design is an asset. Additionally, designers will fulfill additional duties to prepare books for manuscript publication. This may include design work, manuscript formatting, and editing as needed.
Graphic Design Assets - Arts Organization
We're looking for students to help us with the creation of exciting, new graphic design assets for our diverse firm. Static images, videos, it's all good! Bring all your talent... This will include: Coming up with colour themes and branding guides that aligns with and builds on our existing branding. Creating graphic design assets for our marketing materials and websites, such as such as a banner ads, illustrations, infographic and more. We welcome additional suggestions by our students on board this project

Brand Identity and Graphic Design
Our company is looking to solidify our identity and revamp the logo that we currently have. We are looking to better connect with our audience by standing out and being memorable while also being able to use the designs the students offer in a corporate setting. We are looking for real designs that we could use in our branding as well as general branding knowledge. The right candidate would work to create consistent promotional branding and come up with possible new names for the company. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Researching the brand identity. Logo and name proposals that reflect who we are Work to create a branding guide for us to reference Help create prototypes using software tools that can be implemented in our marketing Research into the competitors to see what they are doing. Creating custom branding sheets with colours and logos.
Logo Redesign
Our company has been serving thousands of customers for decades. We would like to update and revamp our existing brand to attract more customers. We would like to work with students to develop a new logo that aligns with our company’s mission and story while providing an appealing design for users. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Familiarizing themselves with our company’s story, mission and vision statements. Brainstorming logo ideas that suit our company and providing justification for each idea. Designing and testing the best logos to garner input. Refining and improving logos based on feedback. Bonus steps in the process would also include: Developing a finalized logo for implementation.
Digital Marketing - Marketing Materials
Our company provides a service that provides support to talented student-athletes who want to study and play their sport at the collegiate level. We have developed a set of marketing strategies, but it has been challenging to implement them. We would like to collaborate with students to review and post content promoting our company. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Familiarizing themselves with our target market, products and services. Reviewing marketing content in the form of posts, emails, brochures, etc. Deploying content according to our social media calendar to increase website traffic. Overseeing our channels and keeping them up-to-date. Bonus steps in the process would also include: Recommending search engine optimization (SEO) strategies so our materials are easily accessible.
Social Media Campaign for Reducing Single-Use Plastic Bottles
O'Land Stations is committed to reducing the use of single-use plastic bottles and promoting sustainable solutions. The goal of this project is to develop and implement a series of engaging social media posts for Instagram and LinkedIn. These posts will highlight the environmental impact of single-use plastics and showcase the innovative solutions offered by O'Land Stations. The project will involve creating visually appealing graphics and compelling content using design tools such as Photoshop and Canva. By the end of the project, the team will have created a cohesive social media campaign that effectively communicates the company's mission and solutions to a broader audience.
