workforce development program management workshop facilitation instructional designWe are looking to bring on a Program Intern to assist us with program management assistance and workshop facilitation for our Literacy 360 Workshops Program webinar/workshop, You're Hired!/Get Hired! a teen college/career readiness and workforce development prep series for high school age youth.
Based on our goals, we are looking for the student to work on the following:
- Instructional Design support
- Program marketing
- Participant enrollment
- Lesson planning
- Program communication
- Parent/Guardian engagement
- Workshop/Webinar facilitation
- Social media engagement
- Other support where needed
About the company
A youth-serving nonprofit offering literacy, learning, workforce development programming and mentoring to kids, teens and college age youth 7-22 in Philadelphia and surrounding communities through it Literacy 360 Workshops Program. Since 2014, the organization has had more than 3,000 participants engage in workshops focused on essay and creative writing, college/career readiness, social justice and civic engagement career exploration. Our successes have been consistant and show that:
» 20% of our kids have participated in additional programs
» 75% of teens who participated in the college and career readiness workshop secure summer jobs, internships, or volunteer
» 10% of participants return as mentors, guest speakers and junior facilitators
