human resource strategy talent management software engineering finance policy development artificial nails researchWe are an early-stage startup focused on developing wearable technologies for beauty. Our first product is internally referred to as ePolish. ePolish are artificial nails that can instantly change colour from a mobile app by bringing the ePolish into proximity to the phone. Our team is entirely comprised of two technical founders who are currently focused on finishing the prototype. We both have limited experience dealing with teams and would like students to help us develop strategies for recruitment and talent management.
Recruitment goals:
- Interviewing etiquette, creating a research-based interviewing plan regarding what works in our industry
- Assessing incoming talent for technical and non-technical positions (hardware/software engineers, finance, design, etc.), creating a strategy to determine best fitting candidates for the role and our company's culture
Talent management goals:
- Evaluating performance and having a strategy to allow excellent talent to continue motivated, and helping improve those underperforming
- Disciplinary policy development
We will have weekly meetings and follow-up with the instructor every 3 weeks.

A single eCosmetic application can wirelessly change colour from any mobile device, creating a world where anyone can be empowered by make-up instantaneously. AIM Colours will simultaneously advance the field of wearable electronics and cosmetics by focusing on micro-electronics and their seamless integration into the body.
