Social Media Marketing for The Website Membership

Easy Artisan Websites aims to enhance the online presence of its flagship product, The Website Membership by leveraging its social media platforms effectively.

The project involves creating engaging social media posts that reflect the company's branding and resonate with its target audience, and scheduling posts into social media scheduling software.

Learners will utilize industry-specific content, strategically chosen keywords, and relevant hashtags to craft posts that capture attention and drive engagement.

The goal is to increase brand visibility to attract potential customers by applying classroom type knowledge of building an online business, and specifically how it relates to websites and adjacent subjects.

This is a start to finish project for up to 4 learners, each focusing on a specific category of post and creating 20 posts per week for the duration of the work term.

The 4 buckets are:

Promotional Posts: Highlight products/services.

Educational Posts: Share tips or industry insights.

Engagement Posts: Polls, questions, etc.

Lifestyle Posts: Relate our brand to audience interests.

Phase 1: Planning

Leverage Brand Guidelines

  • You'll be provided with brand assets (logos, fonts, colors, images) in a shared folder for easy access.
  • You'll receive a quick-reference document summarizing the tone of voice and style

Topic Brainstorming

  • Start by creating a list of post ideas, themes and story arcs within assigned category bucket

Phase 2: Content Creation

Design Post Visuals

  • Use Canva to create optimized designs (1080 x 1350 pixels for IG, landscape for FB).
  • Create templates for consistency (e.g., “Weekly Tips,” “Founder Updates”, etc.).

Write Post Captions

  • Include relevant CTAs (e.g., “Tell us your favorite!” “Share this with a friend!”).
  • Use brand tone—friendly and relatable.

Research and Add Hashtags

  • Identify hashtags relevant to IG and Facebook
  • Combine broad hashtags (#SmallBusiness) and niche ones (#YourBrandName).
  • Add location-based hashtags if relevant.
  • Document for future use

Collaborate with Founder

  • Share weekly drafts of the posts and receive feedback.
  • Finalize posts for the week by a specific day each week.

Phase 3: Scheduling with Metricool

Set up posts in scheduling software weekly as posts are approved

  • Use the scheduler to upload posts, visuals, and captions for IG and Facebook simultaneously.
  • Schedule posts three times weekly

QA and approval

  • Double-check for spelling errors, broken links, and proper image cropping.
  • Ensure posts are queued with 1week of lead time for flexibility.
