- Copy edit a 70,000 word fiction manuscript and provide content editing suggestions, where needed
- Review and revise content for accuracy and quality, including spelling, grammar, punctuation and syntax
- Ensure correct tone, voice, clarity, flow and structure of content
- Fact-check content like dates and statistics (1980s time period)
- Be highly organized and detail-oriented
- Update style guides as required
- Potential to work with a senior copy editor, depending on level of experience
Students will work closely with the author/publisher to copy edit the 70,000 word manuscript. Depending on the student's level of experience, a student may work in collaboration with a senior copy editor, if needed.
