Labor and Employee Relations Fall 2025

Do you have a Labor and/or Employee Relations challenge you want to tackle? In this project, students working in teams will examine the critical issues and procedures regarding an organization. They will bring an understanding of the major aspects of labor – employee relations in union and non – union environments. Students will also demonstrate how balanced advocacy will facilitate harmonious work environment with employer, employee, and union. The implementation of models like Ideal, Unite, Win-Win, and the 8 C Models, will bring trustworthy relationships, develop better understanding, executing negotiation, effective communication and collaboration techniques between union and management organizations as well as help in adapting with the currents challenges like COVID – 19 Pandemic.
Human Resources Management - Summer 25

Looking to elevate your organization, and bring it to the next level? Bring on learners from University of California, Riverside to be your learner-consultants, in a project-based experience. Learners will work on one main project over the experience of the semester, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools. Learners in this program/experience explore a comprehensive overview of human resource management functions and its relevance in today’s environment. The key concepts of HRM will be taught and executed into Human Resource Strategic Plan Presentation of an Organization by the students. The course will cover the role of human resources, skills needed in HRM, Strategic plan creation, onboarding recruitment, selection, retention, job analysis and design, employee assessment, training and development. as well as communication.
Strategic Market Planning
Marketing Principles and Practice is the foundational course required for learners to earn a professional certificate in Marketing or – perhaps – transfer into an undergraduate/graduate program. Students range in age from 22 to 45, and most have a bachelor’s or master’s degree. Learners take this course to develop new skills and advance their careers, and are capable of analyzing, creating, and implementing strategies given the course emphasizes applied practices (i.e., real world).
