Looking to elevate your organization and bring it to the next level? Bring on students from MSc Management at the University of Sussex Business School to be your student consultants, using project-based experience. The Consultancy Project is an optional module offered only in the course MSc Management. It aims to provide students who are interested in undertaking a different type of dissertation with the opportunity to be involved in addressing a request raised by a real business/ organisation. From this perspective, the Consultancy Project is similar to a project prepared by consultants when addressing a client request. Students will work on one main project over three months, connecting with you with virtual communication tools as needed. Students will work in teams under close supervision.

Students will work on one main project over the course of the semester, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools. Students in this program/course will have training in leadership, management and financial skills. They’ll gain an in-depth appreciation of the financial environment in both the public and private sectors. As the course progresses, students will have the opportunity to study specialised topics in management or finance to match your career interests. You can choose from financial topics such as corporate governance, entrepreneurial finance and multinational financial management. The management topics include human resources, marketing and communications. And by learning with people from all over the world, you’ll develop the expertise and confidence to work globally.

Designing an App - a UX Project

Our students will design an app (in the form of interactive wireframes) following the User-Centred Design principles. That includes the following steps: Initial brainstorming Related work/background research User research (including interviews with potential target users) Persona design Scenario design Designing the requirements Low-fidelity prototyping (using tools like Adobe XD and Figma) User testing (testing the prototype with test users) Evaluation (understanding what works and what needs improvement) FYI: The students in this module are both Undergraduate and Postgraduate (Masters). We are looking for a short case-study-style brief to use with our Computer Science finalists and Master's level students studying the Computer Science Human-Computer Interaction module: https://www.sussex.ac.uk/study/modules/undergraduate/2021/G5026-human-computer-interaction Our students will be asked to work individually or in small teams to produce ideas, proposals, and proofs of concept (in the form of wireframes) in response to your brief.
