Bring on learners from Concordia College to create compelling feature articles for your company, in a project-based journalism experience. Learners will work on building a portfolio of feature articles over the experience of the semester, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools.
Learners in this experience will demonstrate reporting and interviewing skills for feature stories, as they broaden their journalism skills, including mastery of standard mechanics for contemporary professional writing. Additionally, they will develop a commitment to the ethical practice of journalism and to the continuing role of journalists amid continuing change in society, culture and media technology.
Learners will deliver:
Three (3) original features, each between 800 and 1,000 words. Examples of the types of features may include personality profiles, news feature, event previews, etc.
