I learned a lot working with the media team at the Women's Economic Council. Their team offered me support and resources throughout the project that familiarized me with new techniques for creating digital content. I highly recommend working with this team of intellectual individuals that work collectively to support minor communities in Canada.

I had an excellent experience working with WEC. My manager Serah was very professional and kind. It was a great learning opportunity for me.

The work I have done with the Women's Economic Council was quite fun and the nature of the deliverables often required me to tap into my creativity. The initial weeks of settling into the organization and determining my role and the deliverables required of me were a little challenging, but I attribute most of this to the project's short timeline. There were a couple of instances of miscommunication and initially a lack of agreed-upon procedures and timelines regarding deliverables. However, these issues were not difficult to resolve. Team members were easily reachable day-to-day throughout the weeks despite the various time zone differences and the general nature of remote work. The sharing of ideas, suggestions and other insights were highly encouraged and there were many opportunities to do so. I am satisfied with how much I have learned and the skills I have acquired. Overall, I enjoyed my term with the Women's Economic Council.

It was a pleasure working with the team at the Women's Economic Council. The communications team is growing and a variety of perspectives and supports were offered. In the beginning, there was a learning curve in getting acquainted with what the organization does, its employees, and its future goals; however, that is expected when working a short-term contract remotely. There were regular opportunities for team check-ins and it was fairly easy to book a meeting when needed. The deliverables were clear and there was room to project creativity and a new lens on the organization's work. Overall, I am very pleased with this placement and learned quite a bit during my time at the Women's Economic Council.

The overall experience with The Women's Economic Council team was very positive. The supervisor of the project, Roxana, was very responsive, collaborative, and extremely supportive and encouraging to our student.

It was a pleasure to work with Serah and to learn about the great work that the WEC and its partners are doing. After further discussion with Serah to gain a clear understanding of WECs needs, our group was able to take an approach to the project that addressed the client's needs, related to the material learned throughout our course and go beyond the scope of the project to offer additional recommendations based on our groups previous course learnings and combined practical work experience. I found the experience rewarding - academically, personally and professionally!
