(2) - E-Commerce Site Build Using BigCommerce or Other Platform

PEI would like to create a user-friendly e-commerce site for B2B (Business-to-Business) Sales for our customers. PEI would like students to: 1) Assessment & Selection: Perform an assessment of B2B platforms that PEI can utilize (BigCommerce is preferred solution right now, but we are willing to explore other options) and present the recommended B2B platform to use based on research. Requirements for site selection will be: Usability (ability for an in-house marketing team to make updates to it), Security (ability to securely accept payments & manage customer accounts), and Flexibility to meet B2B business requirements (I.e. ability to use "Terms" pricing for repeat customers for invoicing, input customer's FedEx/UPS Account to charge for shipping, and have a separate "Bill To" location and "Ship To" location) 2) Site Creation: Once the platform has been selected, PEI would like students to create a new e-commerce website using information provided both by PEI and via migration of data from our existing website: www.peipittsburgh.com 3) Site Testing (Agile Methodology): Throughout the site creation process - students should work with PEI representatives and as a project team to test site functionality and usability in the different personas of: External Customers Internal Marketing Team (making updates to product listing) Internal Sales Reps (sending quotes to customers) Internal Fulfillment (Shipping / Receiving team) Project Goal: Successfully launch a user-friendly e-commerce site for the B2B Industry that can be maintained by non-IT professionals
