Details

This internship will be a focused extension of our primary TV Studio Fall & Winter internships whereas student interns will be doing more technical and behind-the-scenes work. The goal of this will be to maximize the potential of the space and help establish and test workflows to improve our space and make it more efficient.

Deliverables

We are looking to hire Faculty of Fine Arts and Communications students for paid internships at MacEwan University.

This technical internship will be primarily in-studio and include tasks like:

- Testing and troubleshooting equipment to help us both maintain and maximize the potential of our assets

- Help with efficiency and operational issues to make the production studio more streamlined and approachable

- Review, encode, and organize existing footage to help maintain our server and video repositories and help establish guidelines for best-practices

- Work on filming and developing short-films as a means to test equipment workflows and come up with practical solutions for potential future studio courses and establish a "Film Club" at the University

Mentorship

Supervision and mentorship will be provided by Jason Malenko throughout the internship period. Regular check-ins with support and guidance on projects will regularly be provided through phone calls, Zoom meetings, emails, and in-person discussions.
