search algorithms esports web traffic marketing content creation creative writing business marketing writing search engine optimization researchEsports How’s marketing funnel primarily relies on the website traffic from our article content. We’re interested in onboarding students to help us continue to create written content about the video games and gaming at large.
We’ll educate the students on how to effectively write content that ranks on search algorithms, therefore no direct experience is needed. Additionally, we’ll teach you more about the various games and effective research strategies, so being a gamer isn't required.
Through this process, you’ll learn more about creative writing, our business’ marketing funnel system, how to ensure a high degree of SEO for web-based, creative content, and be involved in our general discussion meetings. Moreover, you’ll get to learn more about the gaming industry and get to enjoy talking about your favourite video games.
Project Details
- We’ll provide you with a list of topics for you to choose from. Certain topics will already have researched content and others require more research. You may also choose your own topics (approval required).
- You’ll be writing the article based on the criteria labelled on the content. The average article of 1400 words should take about 3 to 5 hours to complete, however, more time may be allocated based on the research needed and the article’s required length.
- If you’re a student that applied through the Level UP program, you’re expected to write between 13 to 16 articles.
- You’ll participate in meetings to help us improve our documentation and systems.
Additionally, we will:
- Spend some time getting to know you better, you’re future desires, and provide some mentorship on progressing your career (as our company formally does).
- Educating you on our company, business model, future projections, and understanding the culture of a startup company.
- Educate you about our systems that’ll aid you throughout this project.
If you’re interested in gaming, esports, and writing, this opportunity is perfect for you, although those interests aren’t required. What is required is a hunger to learn and grow through this venture.
We have a great, casual culture that focuses on creating win-win relationships and improving the talents of others. If you’re excited to join us on this venture, then we'd love to hear from you. Join up either as a team or as an individual; we're looking for up to 4 students for this project.
Mentorship and Support
Time Allotment: 2-hour long intro call + 1-hour weekly call for a minimum of 6 calls. Additional calls and time expansion may take place based on the situation of each individual student.
We'll work with the student to help them understand personal branding, creating optimal long-term career choices, building a strong portfolio, and the value of networking.
We'll also determine if there are any services or relationships that our company can directly provide for the betterment of the student’s future career.
Supervision
We’ll have a few training sessions at the beginning of the project to ensure the student feels comfortable with their work allotment. All content submitted will be reviewed by a staff member and direct feedback will be provided per content piece.
Additionally, we’ll have weekly team meeting calls to go over completed deliverables and daily office hours for students that need additional support, have questions, or would like to work in a virtual office.
