Details

EZO is a Canadian all-in-one financial app for developing countries. As we are building for nations where financial literacy is usually low, we need a very instinctive user experience.


The main goal of this project is to collaborate with UX/UI designers to enhance the user experience and interface design of EZO’s upcoming web and native mobile applications for Android and iOS.


As we prepare for our official launch, we have extensive UI/UX work to do to ensure our all-in-one financial app provides a seamless, intuitive, and engaging experience for our users.


Working closely with Nick, our CTO, his project will focus on refining user interfaces, conducting user research, mapping user journeys, and creating prototypes that align with EZO’s mission to simplify financial accessibility for everyone.

Deliverables
  1. Project Plan- Identify goals, milestones, and set a timeline for the project
  2. Review requirements and existing designs- Familiarize themselves with the existing product to understand the requirements, design work, and feedback that already exists, and to identify gaps to be filled in the next stage.
  3. User Research and Persona Development: Conduct user research to gather insights and develop user personas that guide design decisions, ensuring alignment with user needs.
  4. UI/UX Design Audit: Perform a comprehensive audit of EZO’s current web and mobile app interfaces, identifying areas for improvement and providing actionable recommendations.
  5. Wireframe Creation: Design wireframes for key screens of EZO’s web and mobile applications, focusing on optimizing layout, navigation, and content structure.
  6. (If enough time) - User Flow Mapping: Define and refine the information architecture and map out user flows to streamline processes within the app.
  7. Finalize- Handoff all deliverables and findings in a package that allows for your work to be easily understood and incorporated into future projects.


Activities:

  • Design Audit- audit the current user flow to identify pain points, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement
  • Competitive research - analysis of direct or indirect competitors' design strengths and weaknesses, with actionable recommendations
  • User research- research plans, screener surveys, user interviews, and/or persona development to better understand users
  • Usability testing- summary of key findings and recommendations, or documentation of testing sessions to understand users’ experience of and interaction with your product
  • Redesign and/or redesign recommendations- design improved flows for the distinct user types. Workshop ideas and turn those into wireframes or mockups that show exactly how the solution could work
  • Prototype- once high fidelity mockups are complete, create a prototype in Figma that can be used to test and validate the designs
Mentorship

Nick, our CTO, will be working closely with the designers to guide them and provide feedback. Nick is a highly qualified and experienced CTO. He will be available for a weekly call and to provide feedback.
