power bi software testing python (programming language) tableau (business intelligence software) accounting data analysis demographyThe objective of this project is to use Python and/or Tableau or Power BI other BI and analysis tools to analyze insurance data to determine top insurance products winners and losers, top insurance reps, average and max claim, and target product or demographics and to showcase historical and real-time information. This will involve several different steps for the students, including:
- Analyzing Cloudport's existing insurance data.
- Developing a data analysis software.
- Optimizing software runtime performance and assessing areas for improvement.
- Researching other variables that can improve the quality of data analysis.
- Accounting for additional variables in the data analysis software.
- Testing the developed software and making improvements based on additional data.
By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:
- Understanding of Cloudport's existing insurance data.
- Understanding of variables that affect the quality of data analysis.
- Identification of areas for future improvement of the software.
Bonus steps would include:
- Testing the developed software with data and accounting for additional parameters.
Final deliverables should include
- All source code.
- A written report explaining the design process and outcomes.
Learners will be supported with up to 6 hours per week of mentorship and guidance from industry professional at Cloudport with at least 15 years of experience.
In addition, the learner will be provided access to short course based materials or path to a certification.
