Details

Students will help us build a marketing strategy plan to grow and engage our target: individuals who are interested in food handler certification whether it is in the hospitality industry, daycare, restaurant, long-term care, institutions, etc. across Canada. We also have complimentary courses in WHMIS, Smart Serve Ontario and soon to be added HACCP certification. We’d like to know how we can maximize the use of different marketing channels and get recommendations to improve our messaging.

Answer the following questions:

  • How do students currently perceive our brand and marketing, based on publicly available information about our company?
  • What channels should we utilize for promotion, including ones we are not currently using Canada-wide?
  • What budget is appropriate for advertising, given our goals?
  • How could our messaging be updated to better explain our value proposition?
  • Recommend appropriate methods of communication/marketing
  • Identify deficiencies in marketing and make recommendations.
Deliverables
  • A comprehensive report on how people perceive our company's brand and marketing efforts. We would like the report to include what channels we should utilize for promotion, what budget is appropriate for our goals, and how our messaging could be updated to better explain our product.
  • Canada-wide competitor analysis
  • Prepare a cost-effective marketing strategy that can be implemented Canada-wide
  • Analyzing the process involved when individuals or groups select, purchase, use or dispose of products, services, ideas or experiences to inform marketing segmentation and marketing mix decisions
  • Evaluating our organization’s digital media offerings to identify gaps and suggest improvements
  • Evaluating an integrated marketing communications plan to provide practical advice for improvement and implementation
  • Contrasting sales tools and techniques to inform an organization’s pipeline management structure
  • Translating marketing strategies and plans for developing and managing international markets
Mentorship

A representative from the employer will be available to answer questions and clarify information about the company products.
