content creation communication marketing social media content social media fundraisingWe would like 1-4 students to assist with marketing and communication that includes creating content for social media posts that is aligned with our vision, mission, and sector that raises awareness of FCMF and the National Music Festival; fosters connections with alumni, partner connections and donors to enhance fundraising efforts. We will ensure the student has a clear understanding of what these elements are for our organization.
You will be working on content creation for our organization, including video, social media, and other collateral that we can use as go-to marketing tools, communicating with alumni, partners, and donors.
To accomplish this, we expect the student[s] will:
- Prepare social media content on topics provided
- Assist with promotion of our organization as directed by staff and Marketing or Development Task Force
- Update Databases of social media content, alumni, donors, etc.
- Prepare wording for funding applications
- Communicate with alumni to get updates and promote their ventures
- Communicate with competitors and adjudicators registered in the competitions
- Communicate with partners and donors to keep them informed
- Identify media outlets that are most beneficial to sharing our story
Students will work closely with the FCMF Executive Director or Marketing Task Force Lead who is supervising and available for questions. Ongoing communication will take place through Slack, email, and phone to assess progress, review content and make adjustments to the students' tasks and duties if necessary.

Our Vision is to foster a robust community of musicians, music educators, and music lovers contributing to Canadian culture. By coordinating the music festival movements and working with local and provincial festivals, the FCMF brings a performance platform to young musicians in communities across the nation.
