Details

Our company has a large employee turnover rate for sales roles, meaning that manually providing onboarding tasks with every new employee is an inefficient use of our company’s time. Instead of conducting onboarding in a face-to-face setting, we hope to transition to an online course that will introduce employees to their roles, and show them all of our start-up resources.

This will involve several different steps for the students, including:

  • Examine the current onboarding process for new hires to identify what should be included in the onboarding process including forms, documentation and information.
  • Generating job descriptions/job postings
  • Evaluating existing job postings/job descriptions and recommending new ones
  • Developing materials for structured job interviews
  • Developing methods of performance evaluation
  • Evaluating training programs
  • Developing training materials
Deliverables

By the end of the project, students should complete the following list of activities:

  • Create new onboarding processes for admin and therapists.
  • Established a structure for onboarding content .
  • Created a new job postings and interview structures.

Bonus steps would include:

  • Created a segment that introduces employees to our workplace culture and values.

Final deliverables should include

  • A report including all research, content, and recommendations..
  • A 15-minute presentation detailing and explaining the contents of the report.
Mentorship

Students will connect directly with us for mentorship throughout the project. We will be able to provide answers to questions such as:

  • What forms, documentation, and information should be collected during onboarding?
  • Are there any pain points in our current onboarding process?
  • What is our upfront/ongoing budget for an automation platform?
  • Input on choices, problems or anything else the students might encounter.
  • Specific details and information provided to students for the field of work.
