Phase 1: Training Phase (about 10 hours)

Students will be provided with all the background information and training in terms of the project outline and deliverables over the course of their time with us. Areas focused aligns with our project and will focus on research gathering and connecting students with relevant contacts for support

Phase 2: Project Execution Phase (about 70 hours)

Conduct a full competitive landscape analysis

Identify opportunities and threats facing our brand; assess where we can differentiate from our competitors.

Perform pricing analysis and proposal pricing options for our glasses.

Look into various marketing approaches for our specific visually impaired customer base and identify the best marketing approach to increase visibility about Seleste.

The final project deliverable is a written report detailing the above information and your recommendation on the value proposition Seleste can bring to the market.

Deliverables

The report should include:

A competitor analysis table showing key features and attributes like look and price and how each competitor does in each category. A pricing analysis showing the income of people in our market that are both employed and unemployed and a recommendation of the price we should sell our glasses at to maximize revenue while keeping it accessible to the wider visually impaired market. This includes identifying areas to highlight within our landing page in order to get users from all sides while avoiding the chicken and egg problem. Current sales collateral that is exchanged. Drop-off rates between each sales stage.

Recommendations for features Seleste can add to increase the value proposition.

Mentorship

Onboarding calls with the students to explain the scope of the project and set milestones. There will be weekly check-ins to make sure that the students do not have any questions or concerns. Additional support will be provided on an ad-hoc basis as I am happy to meet if need be. The student will also be able to talk to the other interns for help or advice. The student can also connect to our advisors one of whom is a business advisor who can help make the recommendations and guide the student when doing research. There will also be regular updates that will be provided by the students in terms of their progress.

Seleste is a new wearable tech startup in Vancouver creating smart glasses for the blind/visually-impaired.
