Details

The primary goal of this 80-hour project is clear-cut: creating an API for our client at the Krasman Centre, aiming to significantly reduce healthcare administration burdens. In this crucial phase, we're bringing on board 2-4 learners with keen minds to design and develop a REST API.

Deliverables

Positions available: 5

Project scope:

Current feature sets for the API include a generative AI assisted matching for mental healthcare services. A student would work on building the API endpoints that -

  1. Use back-end frameworks (Node JS) to update end points and functions that meet requirements specifications.
  2. Write and execute unit testing functions to ensure your project's react modules meet our engineering standards.
Mentorship

At Honest Empathy our executive team will offer one-on-one mentorship to each student throughout the project. We will begin by understanding the student’s professional and career goals and learn how this project can help them build skills to achieve those goals. We will create an agile workflow for the project's duration to help them gain the skills they want and learn how to effectively work in a team setting. We will have 3 check-ins a week to work through complex problems along with knowledge sharing sessions every other week! Team meetings will be conducted through Zoom.

Our executive team and advisors have backgrounds in:

  • Full stack software development
  • Technology Consulting
  • Product Management
  • Psychology and Clinical practice
  • Organizational Strategy

We will open our network to each student and make introductions for them to learn more about their desired field. At the end of the project, the student may receive the opportunity to continue a summer internship, based on performance.
