We are looking for assistance in developing a web app with a team of passionate students who can work on platforms like Heroku, GitHub, MongoDB, Cpanel, and Ecwid Store. The ideal candidate will be responsible for redevelopment & refining existing features of the web app, troubleshooting issues related to the frontend, backend, and database connectivity of our MusMe web app. In addition, the candidate will also need to troubleshoot Node deployments and prepare the app for public launch.

Goals: Our goal is to redevelop (core dev ops), re-design (UI & UX) and re-build a web app that is based on our industry’s standards and has its own individual platform. This app, a royalty-free music library called MusMe that offers subscription and non-subscription based offers of original acoustic sounds, ringtones, and sound effects, needs a larger outreach, one that will rank well in search engines and can scale with our business as we grow. Our vision is to make the app a match-making software to help direct customers to music that interests them based on a matched based algorithm. The app will select automatically one or more sound files and the user will be able to try them under their video project or any picture or videos on their phone or computer. Unlike Kizoa or iMovie, MusMe would choose the music from our catalog to be placed underneath their video or pictures. Our organization is able to offer a virtual internship opportunity for 1 or more developers.

• Troubleshoot issues related to the frontend, backend, and database connectivity of our MusMe web app.
• Verify Node deploys to ensure the app runs smoothly.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the MusMe web app meets business requirements.
• Ensure that the app's security, stability, and scalability are up to industry standards.
• Implement new features and functionalities as needed.
• Create documentation and provide support to users.

Our ultimate target at the end of this experience is:

• To have a functional web app that is easy to use and helps match the music content to the user's needs.
• A well-developed and aesthetically pleasing website with a unique design and format that targets the right demographics.

Musicians, composers, content managers and creators will work alongside the internship students, assisting them in completing their assessment.
