  • Work on special projects they may not normally have the time or capacity to engage in,
  • Build effective teams with improved collaboration capacity,
  • Clarify their impact and refine their strategic vision;
  • Address collaborative challenges that hinder the organization capacity to deliver its work or live its values;

Expected outcomes and deliverables

The deliverables will be agreed upon with the organization, as part of a contract with the students. They will depend on the nature of the project, but participating organizations can typically expect:

  • Some initial conversations with the student teams to refine the framing and intention of the project you are looking for support with and help the students better understand the context,
  • A work plan towards the clarified intended outcomes;
  • The design of one or several participative activities involving the stakeholders in your team, organization or community;
  • The facilitation of said activities;
  • A report on the work done and the results;
  • A final feedback conversation.

Project Examples

Examples of projects:

  • Skill building workshops

* examples of themes: interpersonal communications, conflict management, leadership, collaboration & teamwork, feedback;

  • Facilitating strategic conversations

* Ex: Clarifying vision, mission, values; Creating action plans; etc.

  • Gathering and analyzing data through thoughtfully designed participatory research processes

* ex: interviews, focus groups;

  • Improving work processes

*ex: creating an onboarding manual, etc.;

  • Working on special projects you may not normally have the time or capacity to engage in:

*ex: team building days; community gathering;


Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:

The students will be able to work with stakeholders to complete the project.

A representative of the company will be available to answer questions from students in a timely manner for the duration of the project.

A representative of the company will be available for a pre-selection discussion with the administrator of the course to review the project scope.
