Project Examples

Mobile app UX/UI:

We are looking for mid-size businesses or organizations who would like to develop a new app (or completely redesign an existing one).

For our students, this is an opportunity to experience working on a real project with an actual client. This is an incredibly valuable and motivating experience for them!

For the partner client, we can provide ideas and insight that might be novel or unique as our students have a fresh perspective.

Criteria:

For our students to meet their learning objectives, we are looking for an app that:

· Has one or two major features or user flows, e.g. what does the user DO on this app?

· Is not retail-based or eCommerce based.

· Is for an industry that the students can quickly grasp and understand. The project is short, so students need to be able to ramp up quickly on your business/organization so they can concentrate on the design work.

Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:

• An introductory meeting where students could ask questions and gather requirements from your team (approx. 1 hour)

• Availability for a presentation meeting for students to show their work (approx. 2-3 hours)

• Availability for occasional questions from students (filtered through the course professor)

Provide a dedicated contact who is available to answer periodic emails or phone calls over the duration of the project to address students' questions.

Be available for a quick phone call with the instructor to initiate your relationship and confirm your scope is an appropriate fit for the course.

• Permission for students to use their work in their portfolios for job search purposes (we can genericize names, etc if needed)

Provide a brief that gives an overview of the project and the target audiences for students to review prior to kick-off
